Ready to Move?

The real world can be so boring, especially in today’s political climate and harsh economy. On the bright side, at least you’re not trapped in some of the worst nightmarish video game worlds out there. On the other hand, some of these worlds might be a load of fun. To break it down, here are the 10 worst and best video game settings to live in.

1. Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight is a game where you have to escape a killer by fixing the generators that open exit doors. Being trapped in a game where you constantly have to run and hide while fearing for your life is definitely not desirable. Every day of your life would be spent in terror and fright.

2. Silent Hill

A horror survival game, Silent Hill is one of the last games you want to be trapped in. Even with the main story plot aside, the world itself is extremely eerie and unsettling. The psychological horror of fighting monsters and uncovering disturbing facts and truths about the world is sure to send anyone running far away from this world.

3. Dishonored

Dishonored is a silent assassin game with an extremely rich world and story. Living in a time where the rat plague just started and there is no cure, on top of people having supernatural powers and an evil organization taking over the throne, you wouldn’t feel great about your chances of living here. Not to mention the Weepers, which are basically more disgusting zombies.

4. MiSide

A seemingly cute game at first, MiSide is deceitful when it comes to what it truly hides. Being trapped in a world where a cute anime girl is actually an evil robot trying to end your existence is probably not an optimal living situation. At the very least, you can go and hang out with Cappie to make things a bit cooler.

5. Resident Evil

As fun as survival horror games can be, you probably wouldn’t enjoy it too much if you were stuck in Resident Evil. Constantly fighting off outbreaks of zombies and other creatures, you need to be resourceful and clever if you want to survive. Be sure to bring your A-game when it comes to solving puzzles, too.

6. Slender: The Eight Pages

Slenderman is a horrifying fictional supernatural creature that would make your life in this game extremely stressful and terrifying. The goal is to collect eight pages before Slenderman finds you. Once he does—and this happens when you least expect it and drop your guard—you are in for quite a scare.

7. Dead Space

The idea of being trapped in space with a bunch of killer monsters is exactly what Dead Space brings to the table. From constant jump scares to not knowing if a body is alive or not, this game is sure to make anyone scared and jumpy. This goes double if you are uncomfortable in confined spaces or hate the dark.

8. No Pain No Gain!

Although it’s a gimmicky game, No Pain No Gain! would be a very painful experience if you were trapped in it. Your entire existence would be suffering for the sake of making money. The more you suffer, the more money you make.

9. Outlast

Outlast has an incredible and intricate story that you definitely do not want to be a part of. Being trapped in an asylum with a bunch of “variants” is living hell on Earth. You better try your best to escape unless you want to become one of them.
