Bring Back The Wii!
They don't make consoles like the Wii anymore. Getting you up and off the couch to partake in these interactive and entertaining games, Wii Sports and all its sequels were fantastic at bringing family and friends together. Many of us have such fond memories of this console and these games, so let's take a moment to reflect on the past as we discuss the 10 worst Wii Sports games and the 10 best. Yes, Wii Sports Resort is included! How does this compare to your list?

1. Frisbee Dog
We know dogs are man's best friend, but did we really need to make an entire game for it in Wii Sports Resort? We can think of plenty other sports that would've been far more exciting! Simply tossing a frisbee to a dog and gaining points depending on where it was caught is a little too bland for our liking. Not to mention, there's 10 rounds of it!

2. Canoeing: Speed Challenge
While the idea of a Wii Sports canoeing game sounds like a blast, unfortunately the execution just wasn't there. The visuals are nice and the idea of racing against time sounds fun and competitive, but the controls and motions needed to move the canoe weren't the bestt. Let's just say the excitement factor was a little low for this one.

3. Basketball
Basketball may be one of the most beloved sports in America, but sadly, that didn't translate well into this game. In Wii Sports Resort, the basketball game left people with much more to be desired. With only two options, the 3-point contest and 3-on-3 pick up, players weren't satisfied with the gameplay. Both modes just felt a bit uninspired didn't leave fans coming back for more.
4. Air Sports: Dogfight
The concept of this game mode seemed really cool and unique, but sadly, the actual game didn't live up to the hype. While spinning and diving around in the sky offered different scenery for players, there were complaints about the controls and the Wii remote not being super responsive to certain movements. Not to mention for motion sickness-prone players, this one definitely got you a little dizzy.

5. Frisbee Golf
In our eyes, the entire Frisbee category was simply not needed. Because while Frisbee Dog was already bland, Frisbee Golf doesn't fare much better. Many players have complained about the disc's movement and mechanics, stating that this mode lacks the same appeal and feel as golf. And at the end of the day, it's really just a golf rip-off! The gameplay is so similar, it doesn't let this one stand on its own feet.
6. Power Cruising: Slalom Course
This game in Wii Sports Resort sounds like it'd be an easy winner, but unfortunately, many have commented on this mode feeling less fun than it should be. A little too plain and a little too hard to control, most players prefered the VS mode which added a bit more excitement. The slalom course is at best, a solid "okay."

7. Air Sports: Skydiving
If you're afraid of heights (even if it's virtual), you might want to stay away from the skydiving game in Wii Sports Resort. It's not really worth your time anyway! As you fall from the plane at incredible speeds, all you need to do for this one is link up with other divers and take some photos. Not a whole lot of replayability with this one; it's a bit too bland compared to the others.

8. Canoeing: VS
If you were thinking the VS mode for canoeing would be more exciting than the speed challenge, you'd sadly be wrong. Many people online have stated just how annoyingly difficult the game is and how bad the controls feel. And if the gameplay just doesn't sit right with people, it's not going to be enjoyable no matter how good the visuals and concept are.
9. Air Sports: Island Flyover
When it comes to Island Flyover, it really just depends what you're looking for in a game. If you want something that'll get your heart racing, this is not for you. But if you want something more calming that let's you explore the entire island, you might appreciate what this mode has to offer. You just get five uninterrupted minutes of flying across the resort and exploring all the different scenes as you collect "iPoints."
10. Cycling
If you're looking for a work out, the cycling game might be what you're looking for, but if you just want something fun, you should look elsewhere. Cycling consistently ranks as one of the least enjoyed games in Wii Sports Resort and for good reason. The visuals might seem exhilarating, but your arms will be too tired to enjoy them. The movements required just feel a bit too repetitive.

1. Bowling
No matter how many different Wii Sports games Nintendo came out with, nothing could replace bowling in our hearts. This fan favorite sport is great for parties and family get togethers as everyone takes a shot at landing the perfect strike. And with fun game modes that really test your skills, the replayability is insane.
2. Tennis
It's safe to say Wii Tennis has become a certified fan favorite not because of the gameplay, but because of the hilarious memes that have come from it. The Mii's funny movements, humanly impossible cross-court dives, and bobbing heads make for a fun-filled experience that's sure to create some laughs. Once you master the art of timing, every shot will be a winning one.

3. Boxing
One of the OGs, combine your Wii controller with the Nunchuck for this interactive boxing game that gets you up close and personal with another fighter. You'll have to dodge, block, and carry out a number of blows before you KO your opponent and win the title. It's fun whether you play alone or with a friend in this multiplayer game.

4. Baseball
Batter up! Wii Baseball is a beloved pick that had the whole family cheering. Position yourself like a real batter, make sure you have a tight grip on that Wii controller, and swing away! The sound effects were excellent, making it seem like you're actually in the stadium with the crowd cheering or booing your way. There's just something unexplainably satisfying about hitting a home run!
5. Golf (Wii Sports)
The most impressive thing about Wii golf was definitely the amazing maps. Each unique playing field provided a variety of different challenges to overcome. Whether you have to avoid bunkers or pay attention to the wind, this game was definitely one of the harder ones to master. That just meant it felt even more fulfilling when you perfected your skills though!

6. Swordplay
With the Wii remote held tightly in your hand, Swordplay was a game that enabled you to become the greatest swordsman in the world — at least in your eyes anyway. This Wii Sports Resort game won over everyone's hearts with its three unique modes, Duel, Speed Slice, and Showdown, which offered players a chance to sharpen their skills before taking on real opponents. Nothing felt greater than knocking down your enemy from the platform!
7. Table Tennis
If Wii Tennis felt a little too slow-paced for you, their table tennis offering in Wii Sports Resort definitely took things up a notch. Test your reflexes and timing on this tiny playing field that kept all players on their toes. Whether you went up against a computer-generated opponent or an actual person, every match felt exciting and unpredictable.

8. Archery
Live out your dreams of being Legolas or Katniss Everdeen thanks to Wii Sports Resorts' archery game mode. It's such a fun way to test out your precision skills across three different levels ranging from beginner to expert. And with such beautiful scenery in the background, there's little to complain with this one. It's just you, your bow and arrow, and the target, which may or may not get increasingly difficult to aim at.
9. Wakeboarding
The wakeboarding game in Wii Sports Resort is incredibly fun to watch and play. Not only are the colors so vibrant which really draws you in, you get to speed down the water as you pull off the craziest tricks and stunts for points. And as you level up in difficulty, you'll have more than just clear waters to look forward to; the addition of obstacles really makes this one an entertaining yet challenging game to conquer.
10. Golf (Wii Sports Resort)
Wii Sports golf was so popular, they had to include another version in Wii Sports Resort! While the gameplay and controls are more or less the same, you now just have a variety of new maps to play with. Not to mention, better graphics to enjoy! You can't call yourself a golf pro until you've mastered both games.
